As a KS2 TA, this role provides the opportunity to assist teachers in delivering lessons, support pupils’ learning, and help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.Responsibilities as a KS2 Teaching Assistant:
  • Provide support to pupils individually or in small groups across KS2.
  • Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities.
  • Help pupils develop confidence, engagement, and independence in their learning.
  • Prepare and organise classroom resources.
  • Support positive behaviour and ensure a safe learning environment.
  • Monitor pupil progress and communicate feedback to teaching staff.
Requirements for KS2 Teaching Assistant:
  • Previous experience working with children in a school setting is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate pupils.
  • Ability to adapt to pupils’ individual needs and learning styles.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
