Lead and direct a team of engineers and projects to achieve stated goals and objectives Monitor and report on the overall performance of a team and projects. Creates a performance-based culture, encouraging the team to develop measurable goals and objectives that support CoE strategies. Coach and mentor team members and strengthen the technical capability of the team Supports the CoE Director to develop strategy, direction, and priorities. Creates action plans to drive strategies to realization. Supports the CoE Director and Business Unit (BU) engineering leaders in the development of technology roadmaps, project pipelines, detailed project plans, and value proposition Drives engineering excellence both in CoE and the BU's teams. BS in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering or equivalent. Minimum10 years of engineering experience in electrification-focused product development and certification, with a preference for aerospace applications Minimum 3 years of experience in leading people Proven track record of leadership skills and technical capability Ability to learn new skills, knowledge, industry, or products Hands-on experience in electronics designs and product development, especially power electronics for safety critical applications, including aerospace application Broad knowledge of power electronics designs including topology, analog/digital circuits, thermal management, control, and firmware Understanding of compliance standards, including MIL standards Experience working in diverse cultural situations with global customers and team members Demonstrated knowledge of engineering processes Design for Six Sigma certification Self-motivated and goal-oriented individual.
