Overview:The role of the Maintenance Manager, reporting directly into the Site Leader, will lead and motivate a team of 10 maintenance craftspeople spanning the mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation trades, and one maintenance supervisor.In addition to leading the Maintenance organization, the Maintenance Manager will also oversee the Capital Projects Team responsible for executing the Site's Capital Expenditure program.Responsibilities:The primary Maintenance responsibilities of the Maintenance Manager are:
  • Ensure safe work practices within the Maintenance team.
  • Manage the Maintenance Department budget.
  • Minimize the amount of machine downtime due to equipment breakdowns.
  • Drive continuous improvement (5S, First Time Fix, Condition Based Machine Monitoring) within the Maintenance Department.
  • Coordinate with the other Site Leaders to ensure maintenance resources are available to perform daily maintenance activities.
  • Ownership of the Departments PPM and ITPM programs
The primary Capital Program responsibilities of the Maintenance Manager are:
  • Effectively managing the Site's 5 year Capital program.
  • Ensuring Capital Projects are completed on-time and on budget.
  • Actively participate in the Site's MOC process.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience within a Manufacturing environment
  • Time served NVQ4 (HNC preferred) Electrical / Mechanical engineer HNC
  • Working knowledge of:
  • PUWER regulations
  • DSEAR
  • COMAH
  • LOPA
  • NEBOSH certification.
  • Proficient working knowledge of:
  • Microsoft Office Suite.
  • SAP (or similar ERP program) is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
