Currently competing in the EFL Championship, they play their home games at The Den, which is based in South Bermondsey, and has been the home of the Club since 1994Role Overview:The Academy Recruitment Coordinator (U8-U11) is responsible for identifying, recruiting, and supporting talented young footballers within the U8-U11 age categories. The role plays a crucial part in the development pipeline by managing scouting operations, overseeing the Pre-Academy programme, and nurturing relationships within the local football communityKey Responsibilities:The role includes, but is not limited to:· Lead the identification and recruitment of players aged U8-U11· Manage and deliver all aspects of the Talent ID Recruitment Programme· Oversee the Pre-Academy programme and coordinate associated trials· Track and support players through trial periods, advising on progression and development· Maintain accurate records and ensure timely completion of administrative tasks· Build and manage relationships with grassroots clubs and organisations within the club's catchment area· Create and maintain a broad scouting network across the region· Ensure compliance with FA Regulations, FIFA Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players, EFL Youth Development Rules and EPPP requirements, including the use of Kitman Labs Intelligence Platform· Manage and coordinate a team of part-time scouts assigned to the U8-U11 age groups, ensuring clear communication, effective scheduling, and performance monitoringEssential Requirements / Qualifications:· FA Level 2 in Talent ID· Strong knowledge of the local catchment area· Proven track record in identifying talent at grassroots and elite levels· Willingness to work unsocial hours, including evenings and weekends· Excellent interpersonal skills with a professional and honest approach· The successful candidate shall also display attributes that align with the values of the academy:Attitude - Selfless - Positive- Integrity - Respect - Excellence· And finally, from a safeguarding perspective, the successful candidate should be resilient, self-aware and open to sharing informationDesired Requirements / Qualifications:· FA Level 3 or 4 in Talent ID· Experience in managing a team· Relevant experience within other EPPP environments· Knowledge and understanding of EPPP requirementsHow to Apply: To comply with safer recruitment procedures for the Club we are unable to accept CV's.Please ensure that you complete our standard application form (which is available via a link on our website).
