- Recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree qualification or equivalent.
- Health Care Professional Council - Licence to practise.
- Evidence of relevant training and willingness to pursue and develop specialist knowledge
- Registered member of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapy
- Post-graduate qualification in dysphagia
- Knowledge of and experience using a range of assessment tools relevant to the client group
- Knowledge of, and an understanding of national policies relevant to the client group
- Knowledge of and experience of a range of appropriate interventions relevant to the client group
- An understanding of the roles of other professionals relevant to the client group.
- Ability to travel between venues within the working day
- Substantial experience working with a range of speech, language and communication difficulties at postgraduate level.
- Relevant experience providing assessment, care planning and report writing
- A member of a relevant clinical excellence group
- Experience of working independently within the clinical area of paediatric dysphagia
