- Provide tailored one-to-one and small-group support for students with SEN, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.
- Implement strategies and interventions to support learning, communication, and social development.
- Assist the class teacher in adapting learning materials and activities to meet individual needs.
- Support students with personal care needs where required.
- Promote independence, confidence, and positive behaviour in all learning environments.
- Collaborate closely with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for each student.
- Experience supporting young people with SEN in an educational, care, or similar setting.
- Understanding of autism, learning difficulties, and speech and language needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build trust and rapport with students and colleagues.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
