We're representing a long-standing engineering firm in Manchester that supplies into defence and other regulated sectors. They're on the lookout for an experienced NDT Technician, qualified to PCN Level 2 in Radiographic Testing (RT), to join their quality team on a permanent basis.
The Role:
You'll carry out RT, VT, MT and PT inspections on fabricated components, ensuring they meet exacting quality standards. The work is varied and highly detailed, covering all stages of production - from setup and calibration of test equipment through to non-conformance reporting and supporting root cause investigations.
You'll be responsible for:
- Performing non-destructive tests including RT, VT, MT, and PT.
- Interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Documenting results, raising NCRs, and proposing corrective actions.
- Ensuring compliance with internal processes and record-keeping.
- Supporting quality improvement initiatives on the shop floor.
- PCN Level 2 in Radiographic Testing (essential).
- Additional certifications in VT, MT, or PT (desirable).
- Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (Aerospace, MOD, Oil & Gas, Nuclear etc).
- Confident with inspection instruments and quality tools.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
- UK driving licence and valid passport.
