A Teaching Assistant is needed in a Primary School in Portsmouth.This will be a full time, long term Teaching Assistant post.Working hours at the school for a Teaching Assistant are 8am to 4pm.Responsibilities for this Teaching Assistant role will include but not be limited to:
  • Supporting identified students in 1:1, group or whole class situations
  • Working with the teachers to ensure each student's learning needs are identified
  • Leading small group sessions and interventions
  • Attending to students' personal needs when required
  • Supporting behaviour management and using appropriate strategies in line with academy policy
  • Undertaking learning activities/teaching programmes when needed
The rates of pay for this Teaching Assistant position will be between £90 to £100 a day, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.In terms of career progression for staff, the school is second to none, offering opportunities that allow each member of the team to reach their maximum potential.   • Right to work in the UK
  • Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
  • UK Bachelor's Degree or overseas equivalent
  • Experience of working with children/young people or as a Teaching Assistant in UK schools
