  • Collaborating with SGN IT Architects at all levels, including roadmaps, major changes, and strategic direction
  • Managing suppliers to ensure excellence in delivery, supply, and ongoing support
  • Advising business and IT teams on appropriate use of IT network solutions
  • Acting as the primary contact for network deployments and changes
  • Serving as the main point of contact for IT network vendors
  • Supporting and coaching junior technical staff (non-direct reports)
  • Working with the IT Support organisation to ensure incident, change, and request processes are efficient and effective
  • Providing guidance to the business on network resilience options
  • Producing technical notes for the TDA to describe incremental changes to network and security systems
  • Reviewing and approving network-related requests and changes
  • Collaborating with IT and procurement teams to manage and reduce costs related to networks, professional services, and voice solutions
What you will need
  • 10 years' experience working in a Datacoms and Firewall Network role including Network Management, configuration, provisioning, and incident management processes
  • Experience managing third party vendors in Telecoms, Security (Firewall and SSE) and professional services
  • Experience of working for Telecoms company or ISP or large Enterprise in similar role
  • Excellent ability to engage with Stakeholders at various levels and build a strong network within SGN, and with Third Party resources.
