Daily Rate: £88.94 (increases dependent on experience, client rate, and qualifications)A welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Barry is currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 5 Teaching Assistant to join their Key Stage 2 team on a part-time basis (Wednesday to Friday). This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a supportive school environment that values energy, initiative, and high standards of classroom support.Role Responsibilities:*Provide general classroom support to the class teacher and pupils in a Year 5 setting
*Assist with delivering high-quality learning activities across the curriculum
*Support pupils with varying needs, helping to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment
*Promote positive behaviour in line with the school's policy and ethos
*Work collaboratively with the teaching team and contribute to wider school lifeCandidate Requirements:*Proven experience working within a Key Stage 2 classroom
*Strong behaviour management skills
*Energetic, dynamic, and confident in leading or supporting active and engaging learning activities
*A proactive and enthusiastic approach to supporting children's learning and development
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
*Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)The school is particularly interested in individuals who are active, dynamic, and confident in engaging pupils through sport, physical activity, or energetic classroom practice.
