Teaching Personnel is seeking a caring and committed Welsh-medium Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a pupil in a welcoming primary school in Bridgend (CF31).This rewarding, part-time role is ideal for someone who thrives in a nurturing environment and is committed to helping pupils achieve their full potential through the medium of Welsh. About the Role:You’ll be supporting a pupil on a one-to-one basis, helping them access the curriculum, build confidence, and engage with learning activities in a Welsh-language setting. The role involves working closely with class teachers, ALN coordinators, and other staff to provide tailored support that meets the pupil's individual needs.✅ Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering 1:1 support through the medium of Welsh
- Assisting with literacy, numeracy, and wellbeing activities
- Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning
- Supporting social interaction and emotional regulation
- Collaborating with teachers to implement learning plans
- Maintaining accurate observations and feedback on progress
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning space
- Is fluent in Welsh (spoken and written) – essential
- Has experience working with children, ideally in a school or ALN setting
- Is empathetic, patient, and enthusiastic about helping children succeed
- Is confident working 1:1 with pupils with varying needs
- Holds a DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
- Can commit to morning shifts (08:30–12:30), Monday to Friday

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
