The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a high-quality PE curriculum to students across Key Stage 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach at Key Stage 5.   • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced Child DBS on the updated service (Willingness to apply for one)

  • Patience: A calm and composed demeanour, especially when managing large groups or challenging behaviour.
  • Organisational Skills: The ability to plan and execute engaging lessons, manage equipment, and coordinate extracurricular activities.
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding: A thorough understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to student welfare.
Responsibilities:
  • Planning and delivering engaging PE lessons across all key stages.
  • Assessing, monitoring, and evaluating student progress and providing constructive feedback.
  • Organising and supervising a range of extracurricular sports clubs and teams.
  • Maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment at all times.
  • Participating in school events, including sports days, open evenings, and parents' evenings.
  • Liaising with parents and guardians regarding student performance and welfare.
  • Managing and maintaining sports equipment and facilities.
  • Contributing to the development of the Physical Education curriculum and departmental schemes of work.
  • Promoting the importance of health, fitness, and well-being across the school community.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the continued success of the department.
