- Patience: A calm and composed demeanour, especially when managing large groups or challenging behaviour.
- Organisational Skills: The ability to plan and execute engaging lessons, manage equipment, and coordinate extracurricular activities.
- Knowledge of Safeguarding: A thorough understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to student welfare.
- Planning and delivering engaging PE lessons across all key stages.
- Assessing, monitoring, and evaluating student progress and providing constructive feedback.
- Organising and supervising a range of extracurricular sports clubs and teams.
- Maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment at all times.
- Participating in school events, including sports days, open evenings, and parents' evenings.
- Liaising with parents and guardians regarding student performance and welfare.
- Managing and maintaining sports equipment and facilities.
- Contributing to the development of the Physical Education curriculum and departmental schemes of work.
- Promoting the importance of health, fitness, and well-being across the school community.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the continued success of the department.
