Job Title: Locum Diabetes Specialist Dietitian – Complex Type 1 Management
Banding: Band 7
Location: West LondonStart Date: End of September
Salary: £28–£33 per hour (dependent on experience)
Working Hours: Full-time (part time may be considered)Job OverviewWe are currently seeking a highly skilled Band 7 Locum Diabetes Specialist Dietitian to join a renowned NHS hospital in West London. This role focuses on managing patients with complex Type 1 diabetes and is expected to start at the end of September.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced dietitian to work within a dynamic and forward-thinking diabetes service, contributing to the care of high-complexity patients and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:
  • Provide specialist dietetic input for patients with complex Type 1 diabetes.
  • Develop and implement individualised nutritional care plans.
  • Collaborate with endocrinologists, diabetes nurses, and other MDT members.
  • Participate in clinical meetings and case discussions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with professional standards.
Qualifications and ExperienceTo be considered for this role, you must have:
  • A recognised degree in Dietetics.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Extensive experience managing complex Type 1 diabetes cases.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
