Astute’s Renewables team are currently recruiting for a Civils Concrete Works Manager to join a growing Civil Engineer Main Contractor within the Renewable energy industry. The Civils Site Manager will oversee the full civils Concrete installation for their Battery storage facility in Boat Of Garten.The Civils Concrete Works Manager comes with a day rate from £400.00 per day. This role is under the CIS scheme.Role responsibilities and key skills for the role:
  • Oversee the day-to-day site operations for the new-build Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Boat of Garten, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
  • Manage the initial enabling works, including site clearance, temporary access, fencing, and welfare setup.
  • Coordinate and supervise drainage installations for both the road infrastructure and the wider site, ensuring compliance with environmental and engineering standards.
  • Lead and manage all general civils activities including road construction, foundations, ducting, trenching, and concrete works.
  • Act as the main point of contact on-site for subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
  • Ensure all health, safety, and environmental regulations are adhered to, conducting regular toolbox talks and site audits.
  • Monitor progress against program, identifying potential delays and working proactively with stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Maintain high-quality standards throughout the works, ensuring compliance with client specifications and technical drawings.
  • Manage site documentation, including RAMS, daily diaries, permits to work, and progress reports.
  • Vast RC frame installations experience. Plus full concrete installation experience is required for this role.
  • Liaise regularly with project managers, clients, and external consultants to provide updates and coordinate upcoming phases.
