Trainee Field TechnicianAre you interested in Materials Testing? We have a great opportunity for a committed Trainee Field Technician to join our Infrastructure Division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.We are looking for a dependable, dedicated and flexible Trainee Field Technician to join our UKAS accredited Materials team. As a member of Materials, it is key that you are able to thrive in a team environment, as well as independently. The fundamental part of the role is to determine the physical properties of a wide range of materials including concrete, earthworks, aggregates and bituminous mixtures to ensure compliance with specifications. All testing will be undertaken in line with a range of British, European and American standards so a good attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures is required.The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):
  • Undertaking of a wide range of field test
  • Sampling and testing of construction materials
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
  • A full driving licence
  • Self motivated and able to organise own workload
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work
About Materials TestingOur Materials Testing Team perform an extensive range of testing and compliance services across a wide range of construction projects including highways, rail, airfields, ports and harbours, power stations, sports stadiums in addition to new build projects across Industrial, Commercial and Residential properties.
