
Senior Facilities and Maintenance Coordinator

- This is a senior-level position ideal for someone with deep technical expertise and leadership qualities as you'll be responsible for coordinating all aspects of maintenance and facilities management, with a strong focus on heavy plant and equipment, cranes, lifting systems, and pressure systems.
- You'll be proactive, safety-conscious, and able to balance both strategic oversight and hands-on problem-solving.
- You'll make sure that all reactive maintenance issues are logged, tracked, and closed out appropriately in the CMMS working with our maintenance teams to monitor response times and resolution. You'll also ensure that all data for assets, maintenance schedules, work orders, and service histories is accurate and up to date.
- You'll manage and maintain a robust PPM schedule for plant equipment, machinery, and critical systems and monitor progress and timely completion of scheduled tasks.
- Liaising with specialist contractors you'll oversee the attendance, induction, and compliance of all working on-site. Maintaining registers and issue permits where required.
- You'll ensure all facility-related risk assessments, method statements, permits to work, and statutory inspection records are current and accessible.
- You'll support in audit and emergency preparedness and act as a key responder for site infrastructure issues
- With your technical expertise you'll provide technical guidance and support to in-house maintenance teams
- Significant experience in facilities or maintenance coordination, ideally within a heavy engineering / industrial or manufacturing environment
- Proven hands-on experience working with heavy machinery, cranes, and pressure systems
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Awareness of statutory regulations (e.g. LOLER, PUWER, PSSR, H&S legislation), with the ability and enthusiasm to build detailed knowledge with us.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Competent in the use of CAFM systems and Microsoft Office
- Proven experience in Mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities Management. Relevant qualifications (e.g., HNC/HND, IOSH/NEBOSH, Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management IWFM) considered an advantage but not essential.
