- Leading client thinking in identifying areas of innovation that encourage new ways of working and enhance the existing operating model.
- Building and delivering compelling proposals and pitches.
- Managing Deloitte and client teams to understand their organisations, to design and deliver Operating Models that are fit for purpose and successfully realise their strategic intention.
- Developing business cases and identifying and / or delivering sustainable cost savings in collaboration with senior clients.
- Developing a methodical approach to research and guiding a team through analysing large qualitative and quantitative data sets to shape recommendations.
- Evaluating and using emerging and innovative technologies or ways of thinking to shape strategy; design operating models, principles and roadmaps; and deliver transformation.
- Assessing processes, identifying and quantifying inefficiencies and design and implementation of improvements.
- Acting as part of the management / leadership team: new business development, performance management, design and delivery of playbooks / training and development of junior talent.
- Leading strategic and operational reviews of entire organisations or functions within organisations at a system, organisation, service or functional levels.
- Organising insights to define a logical flow to tell a story when presenting recommendations.
- Proven, deep industry knowledge of the dynamics / trends in either Travel or Hospitality, or equivalent, for example:
- Travel - experience and depth of knowledge in one or more areas of the Travel industry, which could include:
- Having a viewpoint on the evolving landscape of mobility solutions and their impact on traditional travel models.
- Understanding the challenges and opportunities presented by sustainability regulations and the shift towards greener travel alternatives.
- A perspective on the role of technology, such as automation, data analytics, and smart infrastructure, in shaping the future of travel.
- Experience in navigating the complexities of public-private partnerships within large infrastructure projects.
- Hospitality - experience and depth of knowledge in one or more areas of the hospitality industry, which could include:
- Having a viewpoint on the evolving expectations of modern travellers, including the rise of experiential travel and the demand for personalised services.
- Understanding the impact of digital disruption on traditional hospitality models, such as the growth of online travel agencies (OTAs) and the sharing economy.
- A perspective on the strategies for enhancing customer experience and loyalty in a competitive market, including leveraging technology and data analytics.
- Experience in navigating the operational challenges of the hospitality industry, such as managing labour costs, optimising revenue management, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Proven experience of managing and leading successful teams and engagements on time and to budget, including initial scoping and commercials.
- Experience in new business development with a track record of generating B2B sales.
- Experience of being part of a management / leadership team: performance management, design and delivery of playbooks / training and development of junior talent or equivalent.
- Experience of an operational role in at least one Travel or Hospitality organisation (as an employee or as a consultant/contractor) demonstrating knowledge of the overall operating model of that business.
- Previous consulting or equivalent experience, whether as an independent advisor or in-house.
- Experience of use of AI / Automation to accelerate key operational processes in the Travel or Hospitality sectors.
