We are looking for a VAT Assistant Manager to join our Tax department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing VAT reporting, ensuring compliance, and providing expert advice to the wider business.
  • Oversee VAT reporting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide expert VAT advice to the wider business as required.
  • Manage relationships with external tax advisors and authorities.
  • Support with ongoing VAT projects within the business.
  • Work closely with the wider Tax team to align VAT strategy.
  • Stay up-to-date with VAT legislation changes and advise the business accordingly.
  • Assist with VAT audits and queries as necessary.
  • Support the development of VAT training materials for the wider business.

  • Proven experience in a VAT role, ideally within the retail industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of VAT legislation and reporting processes.
  • The ability to communicate complex VAT information effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
