
Aerospace Quality Engineer

- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes and procedures in accordance with aviation industry standards.
- Lead customer / internal investigations using problem resolution tools and techniques
- Conduct internal and supplier audits to ensure compliance with AS9100, EASA Part 21/145, and FAA regulations.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues through root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Review and approve inspection and test plans, engineering drawings, and documentation for compliance.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams to improve process capability and reduce variation.
- Maintain and analyse quality metrics, and prepare quality reports for internal/customer stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Manage non-conformances and concession processes, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, Six Sigma, and FMEA activities.
- Liaise with customers and regulatory authorities on quality matters, audits, and product conformity.
- Ensure that calibration and inspection equipment is properly maintained and certified.
- Provide engineering support as required to the team and customers
- Document, summarize, write reports, and disseminate information per requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a quality engineering role within the aerospace or aviation industry.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, EASA, FAA, or other applicable aviation quality standards.
- Experience with quality tools such as FMEA, 8D, 5 Whys, SPC, and control plans.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality software (e.g., SAP, Q-Pulse, or similar QMS tools).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar professional certification.
- Experience with aviation manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, composites, assembly).
- Familiarity with regulatory audits and certification processes.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred)
- Experience of structured problem-solving methodology: Lean / ACE, lead change/improvement activity / DMAIC / 6 Sigma etc.
- Previous knowledge of Integrated Bladed Rotors (IBR’s) or Bladed Disks (Blisks).
- Formal auditing qualification.
- Green Belt / Black Belt trained
- Previous experience in Aerospace
- Ability to read/interpret drawings including understanding of GD&T and critical characteristics (KPCs).
- Experience in a using SAP or similar ERP system.
