We invest in our employees, clients and partner relationships, as well as, in the technology and resources necessary to remain competitive, working in a competitive environment that inspires innovation.What we do:As a recognized leader in providing Private Markets Solutions to clients across the globe we manage approximately $134.9 billion in discretionary assets and have oversight of an additional $821.2 billion in non-discretionary assets as of December 30, 2024.The Opportunity:To satisfy the needs of our growing client base, Hamilton Lane is looking to hire a Compliance Officer / Senior Compliance Officer (title will be subject to experience) to join our European Compliance Team.Your responsibilities will be to:Provide Compliance advisory oversight and support to Hamilton Lane’s EMEA officesAssist with drafting and maintaining of compliance policies and proceduresAssist in preparing regulatory reporting (incl. the FCA, BaFin and CSSF)Research regulatory updates and draft briefing notes, and participate in regulatory change projects as requiredLiaise and manage external consultants, lawyers and advisersCoordinate with internal groups in the collection of audit requestsAssist with the design, implementation, and execution of the Compliance Monitoring Program based on the Compliance Risk AssessmentEnsure marketing activity is conducted in compliance with regulationsAssist in overseeing the ongoing SMCR framework for Hamilton Lane’s UK entitiesVarious ad hoc projects as requiredYour background and skills will include:3-5 years of experience in a similar position, ideally with a focus on private marketsStrong understanding of European regulations including MIFID II, AIFMD, SFDR, GDPR, SMCR, etc. requiredLegal background is advantageous but not essentialExperience dealing directly with UK and European (ideally BaFin) regulatorsAML experience highly desirableProven communication and analytical skillsProficient with Microsoft Office applicationsMust be proactive, self-starter and able to interact with people who have varied personalities and work stylesLanguage skills desirable – German and/or ItalianBachelor’s degreeBenefitsAt Hamilton Lane, our benefits philosophy is simple.
