- Develop and execute sourcing and procurement strategies to ensure a diverse and cost-effective supplier base
- Collaborate with manufacturers and the internal technical team to ensure fulfilment of contracts, adherence to quality standards and compliance with a clear focus on cost targets and production timelines
- Manage the business relationship with suppliers, hold regular supplier reviews and embed the continuous improvement philosophy to drive improvements in performance and cost
- Support the UK product teams with new products into the market by overseeing the product development process, from concept to production
- Conduct critical path analysis to optimise the supply chain and minimize lead times
- Implement and maintain effective communication channels with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination and collaboration across the group
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reducing costs
- Gather accurate information such as pricing, product information, current availability, technical data, relevant accreditation details
- Understand market trends, competitor activities and global economic factors to make informed business recommendations
- Play a pivotal role in resolving issues and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Work alongside the Business Leadership team to ensure we have on-time deliveries and accurate order processing timelines with the execution of orders
- Undertake any other procurement related task as reasonably requested by the Head of Procurement
- Experience in global sourcing, procurement and manufacturing - FMCG sector is desirable
- Proven track record of successful new product development
- Experience in critical path analysis, costings and supply chain optimization
- Understanding of managing an international supply chain, manufacturing processes and quality control
- Experience in buying food product would be an advantage
- Leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage cross functional teams and building strong relationships with stakeholders
- Strategic thinking and decision-making abilities to drive the business forward
- Negotiation and contract management skills
- Strong analytical skills to interpret market trends and to make data driven decisions
- Customer centric mindset with the ability to balance customer requirements with operational efficiency
- Proficiency in project management and procurement, purchasing, sourcing and supply chain management tools
- Regular travel will be needed to meet with suppliers, customers and other group businesses
