This is a brilliant opportunity for a dedicated healthcare professional with a core profession of Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language, Mental Health Nursing or Social Work.We can offer a bespoke introduction and training plan in Children's and Young Peoples Mental Health Services.You will promote and improve the mental health and well-being of Young People and those who care for them.Working for MFT CAMHS, you'll work with Children and Young People aged up to 18 years and who present with a wide range of complex emotional and behavioural difficulties. You'll be supported to manage a defined caseload and have the responsibility for the assessment, treatment and discharge of young people.We'll rely on you to ensure there is effective and sensitive communication between, the Children and Young People in your care, those who care for them, the health professionals you work with and other relevant agencies.Let us tell you more about what the job involves and why this could be your next and best career move - you just need the right skills, experience and attitude so you can meet the needs and demands of this critical and life enhancing role for our patients.Main duties of the jobWith current NMC, HCPC, SWE or BABCP registration alongside a recognised qualification, you'll have a working knowledge of CAMHS and/or adult mental health and have an understanding of assessing complex mental health needs & levels of risk, including safeguarding and self-harm.Using your experience of working with vulnerable people and their carers who present with complex mental health needs and are often a risk to themselves or others, you'll undertake assessments and formulate plans for intervention, in collaboration with the Child, Young Person and those who care for them.Dedicated to providing an environment that encourages patient-centred involvement, you'll promote good working relationships as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team, making sure care is coordinated with the internal and external departments you work with, with the ultimate aim of providing the best patient journey possible.Using your knowledge of evidence-based practice, you'll offer therapeutic solutions in line with the National Institute for Health & Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines.You will work as part of the duty and assessment team within the service and have a caseload of young people to whom you are offering ongoing intervention.About usMFT is one of the largest NHS Trust In England with a turnover of over £3bn & is on a different scale than most other NHS Trusts.
