Do you have the availibilty to help with food inspection targets?A council down in Kent are looking for an Environmental Health Officer to assist them with a backlog of food hygiene and safety inspections.What's in it for you?
  • Competitive Per inspection rate based of the categories
  • 20-30 inspections per month
  • Can be completed Weekend and evenings too
  • 3 month contract initially
  • September start date
The Role
  • Mainly undertaking category D, E premises
  • Unrated food inspections and interventions.
  • Possibly C inspections too
  • To assist with teaching the level 2 food hygiene courses for food handlers on site.
Required
  • BSc (Hons) Degree in Environmental Health or Higher Certificate in Food Control (or equivalent)
  • Registration with the Environmental Health Registration Board (EHRB) and/or the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health Professional Registers.
  • Must meet the requirements of the Food Law Code of Practice and provide evidence of at least 2 years relevant Food CPD, of a minimum of 20 hours per annum.
  • Provide a copy of an update Competency Framework Matrix.
