- Provide the business with a visible and accessible point of contact for HR queries and advice, maintaining an open-door approach.
- Act as the HR first point of contact for the business, providing effective, accurate and timely professional HR advice and support to key stakeholders/line managers and employees, ensuring guidance is in line with employment law and best practice. This relates to all people related matters, including performance management, absence management, welfare and employee relations cases.
- Coach, support and build capability in line managers to manage the employment relationship effectively and guide managers on company policies and procedures as required
- To proactively maintain up to date knowledge of current and new employment legislation
- Support and guide managers through all employee relations case work including grievance and disciplinary hearings, probationary periods, capability/performance management, ill-health, absence management ensuring appropriate application of employment law consideration and approach and timely closure of such cases.
- Support change initiatives, including acquisitions, restructures, redundancies, TUPE, redeployment and office relocations/closures
- Produce Monthly HR reports and HR statistics as required
- Provide ad-hoc people-related data to the business Director to assist with local initiatives and activities.
- Manage staff absence and support return to work interviews.
- To take ownership and responsibility for ad-hoc projects which help the local office, HR team and the company to continually improve.
- To support Line managers and the Recruitment team during the interview and selection process.
- Work closely with the HR Shared Service team to ensure the business receives an efficient and high-quality service
- HR degree educated (or related field qualification equivalent), or equivalent experience
- CIPD status (Associate member minimum)
- Commitment to continuous professional development
- Experience of working in a HR capacity with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, tailored HR Support. Must have practical experience of managing employee relations within the scope of legislation and best practice.
- Ability to work collaboratively with support functions and stakeholders to produce deliverables that add value to the business.
- Demonstrable success working in a HR capacity in a fast-paced environment. Experience of working in Professional services is preferable.
- Must have an up to date understanding of employment law and HR Best Practice.
- Experience working equally well independently, as well as part of a team
- Excellent communications skills, both written and spoken.
- Full UK drivers' licence, as travel across UK locations will be a requirement
