- Leads by example by taking care of Health and Safety of self and others.
- Ensures that all work equipment, personal protective equipment, chemicals and safety devices are being used correctly.
- Valid ASE Certification A-III/5.
- Good knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, operation and maintenance of vessel machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Experience with stripping engines down and rebuilding.
- Experience on vessels in an equivalent positon.
- Physically and medically fit.
- Moral integrity is required.
Excellent fluent English (verbal, written and technical). English is the working and safety language on board. This also includes the ability to give and receive instructions in verbal and written forms and to effectively and efficiently engage with guests and crew members. Additional languages are considered beneficial.Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Required to stand, walk long distances, reaching and sitting. Repetitive motion of bending, going up and down stairs, climbing ladders. Lifting or pushing of up to 50lbs. The position requires overtime work and irregular schedules. Works in the Engine Control Room, Engine spaces with noise, light traffic, distracting environments.Profile: * Punctual.

Rotation - Refer to contract.Key ResponcibilitiesThe Hotel Maintenance Fitter is to assist the Ships Services Engineer in the completion of their day to day activities including but not limited to;
- Undertaking tasks utilising safe systems of work.
- Completes all detailed maintenance as per the PMS under the guidance of the line manager.
- Where instructed, carries out detailed reporting on the maintenance work carried out.
- Assists the line manager with detailed projects as instructed.
- Ensures all workshops and work areas are in a tidy condition.
- Act as the dedicated repairman for the hotel department
- Ensures all equipment in either the workshops or work sites are operating in a safe manner in line with the company policy in force.
- Other departmental and reasonable tasks as directed.
- Participates in emergency response, safety drills, training & development as directed.
- To assist with the repair of items of equipment in all departments as directed.
- To assist the engine technical staff in projects and tasks as directed by the line manager.
