Job DescriptionPertemps have an exciting opportunity for an HGV Class C+E Shunter Driver on rotating shifts to work out of Malton North Yorkshire. This is Working on behalf of our client who specialise in the logistics industry and are global leaders in this field. Drivers will be moving products around the yard & shunting vehicles, trailers around the yard.Duties will include:
  • Shunting Units & Trailers around the yard
  • Making sure all vehicles are road worth & safe to drive
  • Check all trailers are loaded correctly
  • Managing health & Safety around the yard
  • Leasing with the transport office & drivers
Shift Pattern
  • Week 1: Sunday to Thursday Start at 18:00pm to 06:00am Sunday & Monday to Thursday 22:00pm to 06:00am
  • Week 2: Monday to Friday 06:00am to 14:00pm
  • Week 3: Monday to Friday 14:00pm to 22:00pm
  • Week 4: Monday to Friday 06:00am to 14:00pm
  • Week 5: Monday to Thursday 14:00 to 22:00pm & Friday 14:00 to 20:00pm
You will then start back on week 1 after week 5 & do this on a 5-week rotational RotaDrivers Skills and experience:
  • Hold an HGV C+E licence with a minimum of 1 year experience
  • A driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points and free of endorsements such as DD's, DR's or IN10s.
In return the LGV C+E Drivers salary is very competitive and start from:
  • HGV C+E Afters & Nights £19.00ph Flat Rates
  • HGV C+E Days £18.00ph Flat Rates
Break Deductions of 30 mins taken after anything worked over 8hrsAll Drivers pay rates are based on PAYE PLUS holiday pay on top of the ratesOn top of the Hourly rate, you will accrue Holiday pay, which on average is based on 2 days a month on a 40hr week, Holidays are NOT paid in advance to make the rate look higher.
