Our client is a family-run independent garage seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to run their Workshop located in Birmingham, West Midlands.As a family-run independent garage; our client values their staff and has a real passion for producing the best quality of work. Working in a close-knit team, and leading the garage to success, you will have the opportunity to showcase your skill-set.Your Responsibilities as a Workshop Manager will include:
  • Overseeing the day-to-day running of the workshop
  • Allocating jobs and managing workloads for technicians
  • Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and safety
  • Supporting the team with technical knowledge when needed
  • Liaising with customers in a professional and approachable manner
  • Ordering parts, managing stock, and ensuring job completion on time
  • Keeping records up to date and assisting with admin as required.
What We're Looking For in the Workshop Manager?
  • Previous experience in a Workshop Manager, Foreman, or similar leadership role
  • Ideally, looking for someone who is hands-on
  • Strong automotive technical knowledge (qualified mechanic preferred)
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team
  • Customer-focused attitude and commitment to quality
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
