- Ensure the health and safety of the property by adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a secure environment.
- Maintain accurate daily logs of all maintenance issues using our maintenance system and ensure all tasks are completed promptly and effectively.
- Carry out installations and project work within the properties as needed.
- Take ownership of keeping all working areas safe and tidy, ensuring guest areas are clean and organised after task completion.
- Collaborate within a small team of two engineers, contributing to a supportive and efficient work environment.
- Support the Maintenance Supervisor and Operations Team with daily tasks and duties to ensure smooth operations.
- Work towards improving quality control and service standards across the buildings.
- Participate in regular meetings with the Maintenance Supervisor to discuss issues and develop effective solutions.
- Utilise your strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Proven experience in a similar Maintenance or Shift Engineer role within a hotel environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a small team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with Operations and Housekeeping teams at all levels.
- Skilled in handling various maintenance issues, including plumbing, electrical, repairs, HVAC, and gas-related work.
- Comfortable handling diverse inconveniences with a customer-first approach. Able to think quickly and proactively to address challenges as they arise.
- Accustomed to being on their feet and handling the physical demands of the role.
- Holds necessary electrical and gas certifications.
- Willing to work weekends, holidays, and as required to meet operational needs.
