At Mencap, we're looking for part time Support Workers to join our friendly, passionate team in Bury St Edmunds.Whether you're experienced or just starting out, we will give you the training and support to thrive.About the roleYou will be supporting people with a range of needs to live happy, independent lives. Your role might include attending local day centres with the people we support, trips out to the seaside and shopping, theatre and cinema visits, meals out and the occasional weekend away. Each day brings something new - full of fresh challenges, meaningful moments, and the chance to make a real impact to the lives of the people we support.In this rewarding role, you will also provide personalised support based on each individual's needs, including personal care, manual handling, administering medication, and specialist areas like Speech and Language Therapy.Please see attached Job Description.Shifts & Hours:
  • We have 2x 16 hour positions available, so we can be flexible with what hours you are looking for
  • Shifts can vary between 7am-10pm and weekend work is required so flexibility is essential
  • Sleep in shifts are also a requirement at this service, this offers a flat rate of £63.70
