  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • A strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Responsibilities
  • Planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality English lessons.
  • Assessing, recording, and reporting on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Creating a positive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Participating in departmental and whole-school meetings and training sessions.
  • Contributing to the development of the English curriculum.
  • Providing pastoral support and guidance to students.
  • Communicating effectively with parents and guardians.
  • Setting and marking homework and class assignments.
  • Supervising and supporting student extra-curricular activities.
  • Staying up-to-date with educational research and best practices.
