Our mission within the AML team is to stay one step ahead of money laundering activities while ensuring that our customers enjoy a seamless experience. In this vital role, you will innovate and implement controls that enhance security without compromising user convenience.Most importantly, you'll collaborate closely with your product managers, designers, data scientists and engineers to bring your insights into real change for our customers and help drive our mission!This is an IC3 role. Whether our customers are sending money to another country, spending money abroad, or making and receiving international business payments, Wise is on a mission to make their lives easier and save them money.Here's how you'll be contributing to the Financial Crime team:You'll expose the vast data on our processes to the product teams across Wise in a meaningful and actionable way in which people can proactively access the information without friction or need for analyst assistanceProactively contribute to, own, create, track key metrics and results for your product and operational teams, keeping them accountable throughout the quarterWork with data scientists in understanding and developing the means for detecting and mitigating financial crimeBuilding the framework for managing risk and customer experience at scaleDrive the discovery phase by scoping new opportunities and suggesting features, rules and models to combat emerging risksThe role requires collaboration with Product, Data Scientists, Engineering and Operations TeamThis role will give you the opportunity to:Be part of a positive change in the world. Ideally a background in statistics, maths, physics, engineering, or other scientific areaYou have experience with SQL and PythonYou have strong communication skills and an ability to translate business problems into analytical solutionsYou have an ability to structure business problems with minimal supervision and an ability to prioritise problems independently, as well as condense complex systems/ideas into simple-to-understand modelsHustler-mentality. You can take work beyond the analysis and get things doneYou have experience with data visualisation tools (Looker, PowerBI, Tableau etc.) and demonstrate storytelling ability with dataYou have 4+ YOE analysing data in a professional settingAdditional InformationFor everyone, everywhere.
