Bids Operations ManagerWe are searching for an experienced Bids Operations ManagerMake an Impact at RSM UKWe are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bid Operations Manager to join our Bid Team to ensure appropriate resourcing and project managing of bid related activity.As Bid Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing and continuously improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the firm's bid and proposal function. You will work closely with partners, key stakeholders, and marketing colleagues to ensure bids and bid related projects are resourced appropriately and delivered on time to the highest quality.You will make an impact by:
  • Triaging and appropriately resourcing allocation for new opportunities. This will include co-ordinating input from multiple teams across RSM i.e. service lines, industries, marketing, and core functions
  • Identifying key stakeholder input required to review, qualify and contribute to bid activity
  • Leading the project management and coordination of high-value, strategic bids and proposals across multiple service lines. This will involve managing resources, developing strategies, and ensuring high-quality bid submissions
  • Leading on key bid team projects that improve the efficiency of bid team operations. This may include projects such as digital pitching and bid automation
  • Managing bid pipelines, tracking performance metrics, and providing regular reporting to senior stakeholders
  • Identifying areas for improvement in bid processes and tools
  • Providing coaching and support to fee earners and junior team members on bid strategy and approach
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance win rates and operational efficiency

  • Proven experience in a bids / tenders / proposals role within a professional services environment (legal, consulting, accountancy, etc)
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to adapt approach based on individual bid requirements, generating new ideas to deliver innovative and tailored solutions
  • Proficient in bid management tools and Microsoft Office Suite
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset with a passion for quality and innovation
  • APMP certification or equivalent (desirable)
  • PRINCE 2 or similar project management certification (desirable)
