An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced nurse to join the Children's Haemoglobinopathy Service for a period of time, to gain valuable experience in a CNS role.This is an opportunity to join an evolving and expanding service that supports patients with Haemoglobinopathy disorders and Non-Malignant Haematology diagnosis.

  • As a Nurse Specialist you will support the Band 7 Paediatric Haemoglobinopathy Nurse Specialist and be responsible for patients with Haemoglobinopathy disorders.
  • Some experience and understanding of Haemoglobinopathy disorders would be desirable but not essential.

  • oCurrent driving licence if relevant to role

  • oDegree in health related subject
Knowledge & ExperienceEssential
  • oSome post registration experience within related specialist area of practice
  • oExtended clinical practice underpinned by training supervision & assessment
  • oKnowledge and understanding of relevant NHS policy or project specific policy context
  • oHas understanding / experience of adult / child safeguarding
  • oEvidence of on-going continuous professional development
