An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent band 5 Children's Nurse to join our dynamic Children's Community Nursing team who provide a wide range of nursing cares into children's homes and other community settings within Northumberland and North Tyneside.Please note we reserve the right to close this vacancy prior to the closing date once the required number of suitable applications have been received.Main duties of the jobTo support the Children's Community Nurses, to enable the provision of skilled, effective and evidence based nursing care closer to home for children and young people aged 0 to 18 years with a variety of health needs in their own home and other community settings within Northumberland and North Tyneside.To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust. This will include working at Special Schools and support to paediatric clinics within Child Health.To work with young people, with complex health needs, their families / carers and others within health care to promote and contribute to a seamless transition process between children and adult services.   • Registered Mentor. Mentorship Qualification or relevant equivalent qualification (Essential requirement for post, expectation this will be completed within an 18 month period)

  • Post registration experience of working within children's nursing

  • Experience of nursing in a community setting
  • Experience of multiagency / multi professional working
  • Evidence of teaching/training
