Do you want to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and inclusive primary school in Margate?Academics in Canterbury are working closely with a vibrant primary school in Margate who are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant. This is an ideal opportunity for a graduate looking to start their journey into teaching and gain valuable experience supporting pupils across the primary age range.Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils across Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2 with their learning and development
- Work closely with class teachers to plan and deliver targeted support, including small group work and 1:1 interventions
- Assist with classroom preparation and contribute to a positive learning environment
- Provide additional support to children with SEND or those requiring extra help to reach their full potential
- Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers
- Help monitor pupil progress and contribute to ongoing assessment
- A recent graduate with a Degree/Masters ideally in Education or a related subject
- A passion for working with children and an interest in a career in teaching
- Any experience working with young people (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, summer camps, youth work) is desirable
- A flexible, proactive and approachable attitude
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Right to work in the UK
