- Support 1:1 and small group interventions for pupils with SEN, including those with EHCPs
- Assist teachers with lesson planning and delivery, ensuring activities are adapted to individual needs
- Support social, emotional, and academic development, helping pupils gain confidence and independence
- Observe and report on pupil progress to the SENCO and teaching team
- Gain hands-on experience to prepare for a career in teaching, educational psychology, or therapy
- A 2:1 or higher degree in Psychology, Education, Child Development, or a related field (Russell Group/top-30 preferred)
- Strong academic record at GCSE and A-Level
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of SEN needs and ability to adapt teaching strategies to support individual learning styles and requirements.
- Patience, resilience, and the ability to stay calm under pressure
- A genuine passion for supporting pupils with SEN and helping them achieve their potential
- Previous experience in a school, volunteering, or SEN setting is desirable but not essential
- Extensive CPD and training opportunities tailored to SEN practice
- Mentoring from experienced teachers, SENCOs, and specialists
