📅 Start Date: September 2025📘 What You'll Be Studying: Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician (Level 3)Are you passionate about engineering and eager to learn hands-on mechanical skills? We’re looking for a motivated Engineering Apprentice to join our team and begin an exciting journey toward becoming a skilled Maintenance Engineer.About the RoleAs an Engineering Apprentice, you’ll undertake a structured training programme combining academic study with practical, on-the-job experience. Under the guidance of an experienced Mentor, you’ll gain the skills and knowledge needed to support our engineering department and grow into a future leader in maintenance.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out basic repairs and maintenance on mechanical equipment such as pumps, valves, and pipesPerform preventative maintenance tasksComplete checklists and maintenance recordsLearn and assist with more complex mechanical tasksMaintain a clean and safe working environmentUse hand and power tools (e.g., wrenches, drills, grinders) and test equipmentUnderstand engineering science and technology principlesPrioritise safety and identify workplace hazardsUse basic computer software (Word, Excel)Read and interpret engineering and technical drawingsWhat We’re Looking ForEssential:GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4 or above) or A LevelsBasic computer literacy )Interest in manufacturing and maintenanceDesirable:Exposure to mechanical or engineering environmentsYour Apprenticeship JourneyYear 1: 2 days per week at Cambridge Regional College, 3 days per week on-site in HuntingdonYears 2 & 3: 1 day per week at college, 4 days per week on-siteCareer Path OpportunitiesEntry-Level Maintenance Engineer
