It is committed to becoming one of the most productive and sustainable farming, food and energy businesses in the UK.Ceres Rural is a leading, rapidly growing independent rural consultancy specialising in progressive crop production, farm management and environmental strategy across the UK.The Position: In your role as a Ceres Rural Agronomist, you will be working 60% of your time as agronomy lead for cereals, energy crops and sugar beet at Waldersey Farms. For the remaining 40% of your time, you will help service and develop Ceres Rural's wider agronomy and advisory portfolio in the region. You will have the opportunity to work from any of the Ceres Rural offices, with those most suitable being Saffron Walden, Norwich or Stamford.The Candidate: With a strong focus on both crop performance and environmental sustainability we are looking for a combinable, energy and sugar beet crop agronomist providing the expertise to implement technical and cropping strategies as part of the growing team across Waldersey Farms' 7,650 hectare operation.Key Responsibilities: - Crop husbandry
- Developing crop programmes with soil health and environmental management focus
- Production precision and cost efficiency
- Data management, crop recording and decision support
- Storage and post-harvest technical input
- Training and staff empowerment
Qualifications: - BSc Degree in Agriculture, Crop Management, Biological Science, or similar
- BASIS & FACTS (essential)
