Tutor Opportunities – TamesideWe are looking for dedicated tutors to support learners across the Tameside area. This is a rewarding role where you will provide 1:1 or small group tuition to pupils who need additional support outside of mainstream school settings.Learners may be out of school for a variety of reasons, including SEND, SEMH, anxiety or gaps in education, and your role will be to help them build confidence, re-engage with learning, and achieve their potential.What the role involves:Delivering personalised tuition in core subjects (Maths, English, and occasionally others)Planning and adapting lessons to meet individual needs and learning stylesCreating a supportive learning environment that encourages progressKeeping brief records of sessions and learner achievementsWhat we’re looking for:Experience working with children or young people (teaching, tutoring or support work)Strong subject knowledge in Maths and/or EnglishAbility to engage learners with different needs and abilitiesConfident working independently on a 1:1 basisEnhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)What we offer:Competitive hourly rates (£25–£30 depending on experience)Flexible hours during the school day, Monday to FridayLocal work across Tameside, reducing travel timeOngoing support from a dedicated consultantAccess to CPD and training opportunitiesIf you are passionate about making a difference and would like to support learners in Tameside, please apply with your CV today.All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
