Tutor Opportunities – TamesideWe are looking for dedicated tutors to support learners across the Tameside area. This is a rewarding role where you will provide 1:1 or small group tuition to pupils who need additional support outside of mainstream school settings.Learners may be out of school for a variety of reasons, including SEND, SEMH, anxiety or gaps in education, and your role will be to help them build confidence, re-engage with learning, and achieve their potential.What the role involves:Delivering personalised tuition in core subjects (Maths, English, and occasionally others)Planning and adapting lessons to meet individual needs and learning stylesCreating a supportive learning environment that encourages progressKeeping brief records of sessions and learner achievementsWhat we’re looking for:Experience working with children or young people (teaching, tutoring or support work)Strong subject knowledge in Maths and/or EnglishAbility to engage learners with different needs and abilitiesConfident working independently on a 1:1 basisEnhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)What we offer:Competitive hourly rates (£25–£30 depending on experience)Flexible hours during the school day, Monday to FridayLocal work across Tameside, reducing travel timeOngoing support from a dedicated consultantAccess to CPD and training opportunitiesIf you are passionate about making a difference and would like to support learners in Tameside, please apply with your CV today.
