The Ward Clerk is a vital member of Ward A3, providing essential clerical and administrative support. We are seeking a highly organised, reliable individual with excellent time-management skills and strong communication abilities. The role requires a commitment to delivering a high standard of service to both patients and staff.The Ward Clerk will be responsible for maintaining clear communication with patients' families, providing updates and acting as a key point of liaison. This includes coordinating patient admissions to the ward, updating the HIVE system, and handling phone calls professionally and efficiently.The role operates within established policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines to ensure smooth operations within the department. Additionally, the Ward Clerk will have the opportunity to contribute to improving best practices and ensuring that high-quality standards are consistently maintained. * 37.5 hours per week, Monday to FridayMain duties of the jobWe are looking for a candidate who have an excellent telephone and communication skills and are eager to join our Administration team at Wythenshawe.The position is a busy customer/ administration service-based role where no 2 days can be the same. You will need to work flexibly and apply a methodical approach to a varying workload. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.You will work alongside the Consultants, Doctors and Nurses to ensure our patients receive the best care possible, we are looking for candidates who will bring a positive approach to working environment.Successful candidates must have excellent IT skills and experience working in a customer service or healthcare environment as you will be expected to use IT and communication equipment associated with call handling and data input.
