- Partner with managers through coaching and mentoring to ensure that casework is resolved in a professional manner, in line with policy timescales. Advisory options are presented to our managers in a way that they can use advice to make their own commercial decisions as well as understand the risk and wider implications.
- Respond to employee queries and concerns without undermining line manager relationship and escalating concerns appropriately.
- Responsible for the preparation of case documentation as necessary, ensuring the investigation/hearing manager is ultimately the owner of the final documentation.
- Work closely with managers in order to develop an understanding of the business and to establish a professional working relationship with managers and colleagues at all levels.
- Experience managing a portfolio of ER cases, ideally within a shared services environment
- Good knowledge of employment law/employee relations issues through working within an HR team.
- Ability to understand the crux of the situation and quickly gain trust.
- Building solid working relationships and effectively communicate at any level.
- Ability to respond to changing demands and priorities.
