We have exciting opportunity for a Dental Technician to join our team in Plymouth.We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual whose duties will include supporting the operational, clinical and contractual requirements of Peninsula Dental Social Enterprise (PDSE) relating to the design, construction and procurement of internal and external laboratory work, through supporting the clinical staff and students, liaising with external companies and informing and delivering the curriculum.Main duties of the jobProvide support to the PDSE Management Team to develop and implement a Laboratory strategy for PDSEProvide technical input in the development of clinical policy and procedure around the production and delivery of dental prosthodonticsProvide support to the Clinical Team around design and production of dental appliances and communicate with consultants, clinicians, students and external partners.Provide technical input to assist with treatment planing, lab prescriptions, material selection and suitability, fault finding for complex equipment and materials.Provide an expert opinion in investigations of incidents involving laboratory made dental appliancesProduce dental appliances independently from start to finish to a high standardConstruct dental models and other appliances for teaching purposesSupport the expansion of digital dentistry across sites.Use of specialised laboratory equipment maintain and clean as necessaryMaintain patient records, file prescriptions, store study models, book in lab workAssist in equipment testingAbout usPeninsula Dental Social Enterprise (PDSE) are an award-winning Social Enterprise and Community Interest Company.   • Understanding of a training establishment is desirable
