We are looking for an experienced track record proven healthcare leader ready to shape the future of urgent and emergency care services? This is a post suitable for a dynamic and visionary General Manager to lead the Clinical Assessment Service (CAS) within our Integrated Urgent Care (IUC).This is a pivotal senior leadership position, responsible for the strategic development and operational delivery of our innovative Emergency and Urgent Clinical Assessment Services. You will play a key role in enhancing clinical quality, driving patient safety initiatives, and developing cutting-edge models of care such as 'Hear and Treat' and 'Consult and Complete'.Working closely with senior managers across Integrated Patient Care Directorate and key internal stakeholders, including the Clinical Directorate and Governance teams, you'll champion service transformation while maintaining excellence in clinical triage and integrated urgent care delivery. You will also lead and support a high-performing team of Senior Clinical Navigators and play a vital role in system-wide collaboration with other care providers to ensure consistent, patient-centred care.Key responsibilities include:Strategic leadership of the CAS business and development strategyEnhancing service performance and clinical outcomes across urgent care pathwaysDeveloping effective partnerships with Primary, Acute and community providersManaging a budget and delivering value through innovatioMain duties of the jobThe General Manager CAS is a senior leadership role within the Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) being accountable for leading, developing and delivering the Clinical Assessment Service Business and Development Strategy; managing clinical quality, innovation and patient safety initiatives for incoming call demand delivered directly through the Emergency & Urgent Clinical Assessment Services and staff by:Establishing and maintaining the framework for clinically safe triage within IUC; developing and implementing plans for improving service delivery within IUCLeading and developing new Emergency and Urgent Care services throughout IUC;Developing and leading the planning and delivery of future models of service delivery based on national best practice and collaborating with IUC' senior managers and key internal LAS stakeholders - notably the Clinical Directorate and Corporate Governance and Risk Leads;Developing relationships and collaborating with other Emergency and Urgent Care providers, Primary and Acute Trusts for service delivery, capacity planning and service development, sharing and developing current best practices;About usOur strategy 2023-2028 outlines how we plan to achieve this, and is centred upon three missions focused on:
