- Classroom Support: Assist the class teacher with daily tasks, including preparing the classroom for lessons, managing resources, and tidying up.
- Student Assistance: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them understand concepts and complete activities across various subjects.
- Behavior Management: Help maintain a positive and respectful learning atmosphere by assisting the teacher with classroom behavior and promoting good conduct.
- Creative Learning: Work with students on engaging activities, including reading, storytelling, art projects, and outdoor play.
- Administrative Duties: Support the teacher with administrative tasks such as photocopying, preparing displays, and keeping records.
- Communication: Assist in communicating with parents and caregivers about student progress and daily activities, under the guidance of the teacher.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and a strong commitment to their educational development.
- Experience working with children, ideally in a school or similar setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build a good rapport with students, teachers, and parents.
- Patience, creativity, and a flexible approach to your work.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to get involved in all aspects of school life.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Teaching and Learning Support) are desirable but not essential.
