
Senior Quantity Surveyor

- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets
- Lead procurement processes and manage tendering procedures
- Work with JCT Suite of Contracts
- Carry out measurement in line with NRM2 standards
- Monitor project financial performance and report accordingly
- Conduct valuations and manage project risks
- Provide expert advice and updates on project cost control
- Hold a Member status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), with a minimum of four years’ post-graduate experience, or demonstrate extensive experience (10+ years) in Quantity Surveying, with at least 4 years in a Senior QS capacity.
- Have hands-on experience managing projects within the public sector, with values ranging from £500,000 to £30,000,000.
- Be highly organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
- Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong focus on client relationship management and high-quality service delivery.
- Approach problem-solving with a proactive mindset and see challenges through to resolution.
- Have solid IT skills, including advanced use of Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with measurement software such as CostX would be an advantage.
- Demonstrate the ability to identify commercial opportunities for the future growth of the business.
- Have a background in managing and mentoring junior and graduate surveyors.
- Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
- A basic salary of between £55,000 to £65,000
