Morson are exclusively looking for Skilled Fabricators for a leading aerospace company in Filton, Bristol. It is a 6 month contract initially.The working hours are 35 hours per week over 4 days, Monday - Thursday or Tuesday to Friday (with 2 weeks notice to change shift). The hours are 6.30-3.45PM.Rates:
£19.40- Skilled without Stamp /Weekday Overtime £24.25 / Weekend Overtime £29.10 Stamp usually achieved within 3 months then rates increase to £20.19 with weekday overtime £25.24 and weekend overtime £30.29Job Description:The use of hand, electrical and pneumatic tools and bending machines to shape, form and assemble metal products within drawing limits. Desired abilities to include (but not limited to):
  • Use of jigs to assemble parts made from stainless steel, titanium or aluminium
  • Fitting
  • Swaging
  • Measuring machinery and jigs
  • Awareness of recognised quality process, i.e. ISO 9001, AS/EN9100, or similar
Qualifications:A recognised and relevant apprenticeship or the equivalent NVQ standard. Previous manufacturing experience in a factory environment would be desirable.Key Skills:
  • Ability to understand technical drawings/limits.
  • Must be able to work in small teams with Process Team Leaders
  • Self-motivated team player with good communication skills
