- Educated to degree level (Information Technology, or related subject) or equivalent demonstratable level of work experience and knowledge
- Knowledge of working with ICT applications and systems
- Project Management related qualification.
- Qualification in team leadership, such as the Institute Of Leadership and Management (ILM) Level 2 or 3
- ITIL Foundation qualification
- Proven experience of an ICT Applications or Systems role.
- Experience of managing and motivating a team.
- Evidence of leading the design, development and deployment of computer system upgrades and implementations.
- Evidence a strong understanding of windows PC and server operating systems.
- Proven experience of desktop and server troubleshooting.
- Proven experience of supporting all peripheral hardware devices.
- Experience of supporting IT within a healthcare environment.
- Experience of working in an Agile Development environment.
- Ability and confidence to speak publicly to groups of people,Ability and confide, demonstrating ideas, concepts and working software and answer related questions.
- Excellent planning skills. Ability and confidence to lead and motivate a team, chairing team meetings.
- Able to establish good working relationships with people at all levels.
- Be methodical and disciplined in work with meticulous attention to detail.
- Able to work under own initiative.
- Able to communicate with staff on complex business or clinical processes.
- Ability and judgement to lead software development projects according to well defined industry good practice.
- Able to access and manage the competencies and capabilities of team members (guided by capability, sickness and other organisational policies when required.)
- Display high quality written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to learn new technologies and IT systems quickly through both self-study and professional courses.
- Ability to speak Welsh
- Understands the Data Protection Act and its implications for the holding of patient information NHS Information flows / services.
