As part of the front office for Global Markets, this desk handles project initiation, promotion, and post-release maintenance, carrying out various system-related tasks necessary for EGMD to drive its business forward.NUMBER OF DIRECT REPORTS0MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
  • Ensure the stability and reliability of market systems to support business operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement in system performance and user satisfaction.
  • Provide expert support to system users, ensuring seamless operation of market-related applications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitor and maintain production environments to ensure system stability.
  • Lead the response and resolution of system incidents, collaborating with system owners and other stakeholders to minimize downtime.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to system users, addressing their queries and issues.
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement system enhancements and improvements.
  • Document and maintain operational procedures to ensure consistent and effective system support practices.
  • Conduct regular system health checks and performance tuning to optimize efficiency.
WORK EXPERIENCEEssential:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in production support or reliability engineering within financial markets or related industries.
  • Leading problem determination by collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and Investigating regarding system inquiries independently.
  • Proven track record of managing and resolving system incidents in a high-pressure environment.
  • Experience collaborating with development teams to implement system enhancements and improvements.
Preferred:
  • Experience working in a front office environment within a financial institution.
  • Previous experience leading a team or project in a production support role.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in financial markets.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEFunctional / Technical Competencies:Essential
  • Strong technical skills in system monitoring, incident management, and performance tuning.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to lead incident resolution efforts.
  • Effective communication skills to provide technical support and guidance to system users.
  • Ability to document and maintain operational procedures clearly and accurately.
Preferred:
  • Knowledge of specific market systems and applications used within the financial industry.
  • Experience with automation tools and techniques to improve system reliability and efficiency.
  • Strong analytical skills to gather and analyze information related to system performance and regulatory requirements.
Education / Qualifications:Essential
  • Bachelor’s degree.
Preferred:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
