Position Overview:As a Project Manager, you will be entrusted with the leadership and management of our prestigious Education scheme in Scarborough. Working closely with our team and stakeholders, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project, from inception to completion. This is a remarkable opportunity to demonstrate your expertise, drive, and passion for delivering outstanding results on a high-value construction project.Responsibilities:
  • Lead the successful delivery of the £20 million Education scheme in Scarborough, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate all project activities, including planning, design, procurement, construction, and handover, to achieve project objectives.
  • Manage and motivate the project team, subcontractors, and suppliers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Liaise closely with clients, consultants, local authorities, and other stakeholders to build and maintain positive relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project progress, risks, and performance metrics, implementing proactive measures to address challenges and optimise outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices on-site.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports, forecasts, and updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Manage project finances, budgets, and procurement activities, maximising value and minimising risks.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager with a Tier One Contractor, ideally on education or similar complex construction projects.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and influence teams and stakeholders.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction methodologies, contracts, and regulations relevant to large-scale construction projects.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering results within challenging deadlines.
  • Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, or related fields.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
